Detroit’s Trinity International Film Festival / Donna Jackson

On the next American Black Journal, Detroit’s Trinity International Film Festival – the city’s signature event for independent filmmakers  — takes place August 4-12.  We’ll get details on this year’s event, which features 70 movie screenings by filmmakers from 17 countries, including a documentary on Detroit civil rights icon Rosa Parks. Plus, from Detroit Performs local artist, Donna Jackson, uses her experiences, Detroit’s diversity, and the city’s comeback as inspiration for a unique art project.
