Detroit Innovation Fellowship / CARN “Chipping Away At Cancer” Golf Fundraiser

On the next American Black Journal, The New Economy Initiative has launched a new program that celebrates the social entrepreneurs and innovators who are working to revitalize Detroit neighborhoods. We’ll get the details on the Detroit Innovation Fellowship and meet a couple of the fellowship grant recipients. Plus, a local nonprofit that provides financial, emotional and nutritional resources for cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers is holding a golf fundraiser featuring legendary African American golfer Jim Thorpe.
