American Black Journal – PontiaConnect / Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion / Detroit Youth Choir

Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman talks with Stephen about a new app named “PontiaConnect,” which is keeping residents engaged and informed about the COVID-19 pandemic. She also provides an update on major economic development projects in the City of Pontiac. Plus, Yusef Shakur is here to talk about how the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion is expanding its efforts to combat systemic racism, thanks to a grant from the Kresge Foundation. And, we’re treated to a special performance by the Detroit Youth Choir at Detroit’s Marygrove Theater.
