Technology impacts on industry and how to prepare future workers now | Future of Work Series with Detroit Economic Club

Aug 13, 2020

A livestream conversation about preparing future workers for
the impact of autonomous technology on the workplace

Technology has changed almost every product, both the way they are made and function. In the next 10-20 years, the concept of manual labor will be heavily impacted by autonomous technology and robotics themes.

This will touch almost every industry, especially manufacturing and healthcare. Educators need to embrace this change and make sure students will be trained in a multi-disciplinary manner, including the use of a variety of technologies to fill the needs of employers.

Join One Detroit and the Detroit Economic Club for a future of work town hall with Henry Ford Health President/CEO Robert Riney, Lear Corporation President/CEO Ray Scott, and Lawrence Technological University President/CEO Dr. Tarek Sobh. They will discuss the impact of changing, autonomous technology and how to prepare future workers for what’s to come ahead.

One Detroit and Detroit PBS partner with the Detroit Economic Club to present this future of work town hall, part of a series that examines the multi-faceted trends and issues every company faces.
