Wearing face masks is now mandatory in Michigan. Christy spoke today with Governor Whitmer about the mandate and its significance.

“We were a hot spot. And as you look at what’s happening in Florida or Texas, California, we know we don’t want to take steps backward. And that’s precisely why this mask mandate is so important. These strides that we’ve made, these businesses that we’ve been able to reopen, we want to keep them up and we don’t want to have to move back. We want to keep the prospect that our kids can get back in school in 56 days.”
