GROW DETROIT’S YOUNG TALENT / COMMUNITY EDUCATION COMMISSION

On the next American Black Journal, the Grow Detroit’s Young Talent program provided summer employment opportunities for 8,000 youth and young adults in the city.  Stephen talks with the head of the program about this year’s success and how the program benefits young people and Detroit employers. Plus, the newly-formed Community Education Commission has released its Detroit Parents’ Guide to Schools for the 2018-19 academic year. We’ll learn what information is in the guide and how it helps parents make educational choices for their children.
