American Black Journal – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force / Brilliant Detroit

On the next American Black Journal

A volunteer grassroots organization is keeping Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy alive through its annual Peace Walk in Southfield on the King Holiday.  Nearly 2,000 people take part in the walk, program and tastefest.  Plus, the non-profit organization Brilliant Detroit uses a unique neighborhood approach to creating successful families with children who are ready for school and thriving in a healthy and stable environment.
