  • 2018 MICHIGAN PRIMARY – Voters turned out in droves for Michigan’s Primary, shattering a 40-year-old primary elections record. The MiWeek team analyzes the huge turnout and the problems it caused at some polling places.
  • GOVERNOR’S RACE – The Democratic and Republican candidates for Governor will face each other in the November election, but how much attention will be given to their choice of running mates?  The MiWeek team debates who the candidates may select as their prospective Lieutenant Governor and what issues will resonate the most with voters.
  • PINK WAVE OF WOMEN – 2018 is being called the Year of the Woman, and the pink wave of Michigan women seeking political office grew after this week’s primary.  The MiWeek team talks about how women candidates and voters are making a huge difference in this year’s election.
  •  CONGRESSIONAL RACES – Rashida Tlaib is poised to become the first Muslim American woman in Congress, and the 11th Congressional race is pitting a former Donald Trump campaign leader against a former official in the Barack Obama administration. The MiWeek team analyzes the Congressional races.
  • U.S. SENATE RACE- John James, Michigan’s first African-American Republican nominee for a major office in more than three decades, will challenge incumbent Democrat Debbie Stabenow for her seat in the U.S. Senate. The MiWeek team takes a closer look at this matchup.
