What does it take to put together a virtual opera?

Suzanne Acton, Director, Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus, talks with WRCJ’s Peter Whorf about the origin of the Michigan Opera Theatre children chorus and how the kids have gotten to put together their own opera and perform it, and the upcoming virtual opera the children’s chorus has put together called “The Very Last Green Thing,” which premieres on May 22nd online. The public performance was originally scheduled for April 25th in honor of Earth Day, but when the pandemic hit, they pivoted and reconfigured the show for a digital space.
